Bojničky

Bojnicky ( until 1927 slovak also " Bojnická "; Hungarian Bajmócska ) is a municipality in western Slovakia, with 1345 inhabitants ( 31 December 2011), which belongs to Okres Hlohovec, a part of the Trnavský kraj.

Geography

The municipality is located in the hills in the lower Danube Považie the creek Jarčie, a left tributary of Waag, six kilometers south Hlohovecký located. The last area of Inowetz rich in the municipal area.

History

The village was mentioned in writing in the Zoborská documents as Boenza for the first time in 1113. The main occupation of the inhabitants was and is agriculture. Bojnicky long time belonged to the estate of the castle (now Castle ) in the near Hlohovec.
