Brennabor

The Brennabor -Werke Gebr Reichstein, later Brennabor -Werke AG was a German manufacturer of baby carriages, bicycles, cars and motorcycles based in Brandenburg an der Havel. The name of the company goes back to the allegedly old (but incorrect) name of the city of Brandenburg.

History

The company was founded in 1871 by brothers Adolf and Hermann Carl Reichstein. As early as 1870 questioned the Reichstein's basket stroller and Kindervelocipede ago, from 1881 Bicycles and from about 1891 Rover. 1892 received the bikes the name Brennabor.

Until the 1930s Brennabor was the largest stroller manufacturers in Europe and one of the largest bicycle factories.

Since 1991, the transmission plant in Brandenburg is a subsidiary of ZF Friedrichshafen. ZF operates on a former factory for apprentice training.
