Brennabor
The Brennabor -Werke Gebr Reichstein, later Brennabor -Werke AG was a German manufacturer of baby carriages, bicycles, cars and motorcycles based in Brandenburg an der Havel. The name of the company goes back to the allegedly old (but incorrect) name of the city of Brandenburg.
History
The company was founded in 1871 by brothers Adolf and Hermann Carl Reichstein. As early as 1870 questioned the Reichstein's basket stroller and Kindervelocipede ago, from 1881 Bicycles and from about 1891 Rover. 1892 received the bikes the name Brennabor.
Until the 1930s Brennabor was the largest stroller manufacturers in Europe and one of the largest bicycle factories.
In 1901 motorcycles in series, from 1903 cars you made (initially only on order ) with three or four wheels. 1908 began series production of automobiles. During the First World War it posed no automobiles in America, Motorcycles only until 1916. Brennabor The plants were talking from their own team in 1908, and achieved worldwide success in motor sport.
In 1919 Brennabor in Hastedt, together with Sigmund Meyer, the National Automotive Society and Hansa -Lloyd, a cartel for the sale of passenger cars and commercial vehicles, the " Association of German car factories " (GDA ).
Also in 1919 the middle class car type P was introduced, with the one in 1921 a large-scale production began. Early to mid- 1920s Brennabor was the largest automobile manufacturer in Germany until 1927/28, still second largest behind Opel. 1924 6.000 workers were employed. Brennabor graduated in 1919 with NAG and Hansa -Lloyd for GDA ( Association of German automotive factories ) together. These sales organization existed until 1928, but did not lead to a fixed merger of the companies involved.
Brennabor led 1923/24, one of the first German car manufacturer to a Production Line. The world economic crisis ensured that the production figures declined, especially since no small car was on sale. Experiments with front-wheel drive vehicles ( by prior patents ) were made in 1931, however, resulted only in a prototype based on the type jewel 6 to a production run, it was not for financial reasons. 1932 automobile production was first interrupted for eight months, for a short time with new models taken up again in late autumn 1933 and finally ceased. 1932 Brennabor works were converted into a public limited company.

Brennabor products have been exported worldwide, to Australia, China, South America, South Africa and throughout Europe.
On the factory premises subsequently established the Brandenburg tractor factories that produced until 1964 wheeled and tracked tractors and then surrounded the production of commercial vehicle transmissions. Since 1991, the transmission plant in Brandenburg is a subsidiary of ZF Friedrichshafen. ZF operates on a former factory for apprentice training.

As with many former bicycle brands also Brennabor brand was revived as a trademark. Here, a slightly more upscale price range seems to have been envisaged.
