British Independent Film Awards 2007

The 10th ceremony of the British Independent Film Awards ( BIFA ) held in London on 20 November 2007. The most successful film of the year was directed by Anton Corbijn Control with four awards ( Best Picture, Best Director, Best News Comer, Douglas Hickox Award) in three other nominations.

The German production The Lives of Others director Florian Henckel von Donnersmarck won the Best Foreign Independent Film.

The event was hosted by actor James Nesbitt, who had received himself in 2002 for his portrayal of Northern Irish politician Ivan Cooper in Paul Greengrass 's film drama Bloody Sunday an award.
