Bukówko

Bukówko ( German New Buckow ) is a village in the Polish West Pomeranian Voivodeship. It is located in the powiat Białogardzki ( Belgard ) and belongs to the rural community Tychowo ( Tychowo ).

Geographical location

Bukówko located 15 kilometers east of Białogard to the voivodeship 167 of Koszalin ( Koszalin ) to Tychowo. In the county seat Białogard performs a side road connection via Dobrowo ( Dubberow ) and KlEPINO Białogardzkie ( Klempin ). The municipal area is from west to east of the former narrow-gauge railway track Białogard - Świelino ( Schwellin ), and cut from south to north through the Chotla ( Kautel ).

Name

The place name comes from the Sorbian word meaning " Buchenhof ".

History

The hinterpommersche New Buckow was an ancient fief of those Münchow. However, urn finds and the excavation of a cist tomb suggest a Germanic settlement already in front of the turn. In 1810, the family of Heydebreck owner of the 1489 -acre estate.

The municipality of New Buckow the extensions Hahn skating, the Vorwerk Sodhof, the forestry Zabelsberg belonged (now Polish: Czapia Góra ) and the manor Rottow ( Retowo ). In 1939 the village had 626 inhabitants in 152 households. The municipal area comprised 2982.6 hectares.

New Buckow came first in 1932 to the district Belgard ( Persante ) and was previously assigned to the district of Pomerania. It formed a separate administrative district and belonged to the civil registry district Buckow as well as the district court area Bublitz. Last German officials before 1945 were Mayor William Syring and Chief Administrator Heinrich Borgmann.

1945, there has been no war-related destruction in the village. New Buckow came to Poland, the local population was expelled in the years 1946/47. Today Bukówko is a district of Gmina Tychowo.

Church

Parish

New Buckow was formerly an independent evangelical parish with its own priest. Still belonged to the parish of the villages of Old Buckow, Mandelatz, Rottow and Schlennin. She was assigned to the Church of Pomerania.

In 1821 the parish of New Buckow was the parish Tychowo ( with chapel Kieckow ) and thus the church Belgard allocated in the church of the Evangelical Church of Pomerania Old Prussian Union. Last German pastor was Werner Braun. The church patronage held Rittergutsbesitzer of Heydebreck.

Today, the Protestant inhabitants of Bukówko belong to the Church community Koszalin ( Diocese of Pomerania - Greater Poland ), the Polish Evangelical-Augsburg Church. The town now has a predominantly Catholic population. It is incorporated into the parish Dobrowo (small Dubberkow ), the ( Belgard ) belongs to the deanery in the Diocese of Koszalin - Kolobrzeg Białogard of the Catholic Church in Poland.

Village Church

The old stone church has a tent roof with paneled tower attachment. Despite numerous changes inside the six colorful glazed leaded windows are obtained ( a gift of the Patrons of Heydebreck 1865) until today.
