Caetano Lima dos Santos

Antônio Caetano Lima dos Santos, OFM Cap ( born October 26, 1916 in Altamira, Brazil) is a retired bishop of Ilheus.

Life

Antônio Caetano Lima dos Santos joined the Order of Friars Minor Capuchin and received on 15 December 1940, the ordination.

Pius XII. appointed him on 16 April 1958 Bishop of Ilheus. The Archbishop of São Salvador da Bahia, Álvaro Augusto da Silva Cardinal, consecrated him on 10 August of the same year the bishop; Co-consecrators were Terceiro José de Sousa, Bishop of Penedo, José Alves de Sà Trindade, Archbishop of Montes Claros. He participated in all sessions of the Second Vatican Council.

He resigned as Bishop of Ilheus on 19 December 1969. Paul VI. appointed him on 19 December 1969 Titular Bishop of Tagarbala
