Chari-Baguirmi Region

Chari- Baguirmi is a region of Chad, and corresponds to a large part of the former prefecture of the same name, whose northern part forms a separate region Hadjer - Lamis since 2002. Capital of the region is Massenya.

Geography

Chari- Baguirmi is located in the west of the country on the border with Cameroon and covers an area of ​​82,910 km ². Is named the region after the river Chari ( Shari ), which flows through it, and after the historic Baguirmi - empire on the ground.
