Chérisey
Chérisey is a commune of 275 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2011 ) in the department of Moselle in the Lorraine region. It belongs to the district of Metz- Campagne and Canton Verny.
Geography
Chérisey is located about 15 kilometers south of Metz, near the airport Metz -Nancy- Lorraine at an altitude 203-258 m above sea level. The municipality covers 5.07 km ².
History
The village was first mentioned in the 9th century as Carisiacum.
1915-18 and 1940-44, it was the Germanized name shear singing.
