Chicoloapan is a municipality in the Mexican state of México. It belongs to the Zona Metropolitana del Valle de México, the metropolitan region around Mexico City. The seat of the municipality and its largest city is Chicoloapan de Juárez. The community had in 2010 175.053 inhabitants, its surface area is 54.1 km ².

Geography

Chicoloapan lies to the east of the state of Mexico, 10 km south of Texcoco de Mora.

The municipality borders the Municipalities Texcoco, Ixtapaluca and La Paz and Chimalhuacán.
