Chris Brunt (2006)

Christopher " Chris " Brunt ( born December 14, 1984 in Belfast ) is a Northern Irish footballer who is currently at West Bromwich Albion under contract.

Playing career

Chris Brunt played in his youth at FC St. Andrews, an amateur club based in Leicestershire. Even during this time he done a few tests first training sessions with renowned English football clubs such as Manchester United or FC Middlesbrough. Recently named club that was it, who gave the midfielder a professional contract in 2002. In Middlesbrough Brunt, however, had no chance to prevail against top-class midfielder Boudewijn Zenden or as Gaizka Mendieta herself. He thus came to no use in the first team. As a result, he was awarded the 2004/05 season to the then third division Sheffield Wednesday. In his first season helped the club to the Brunt promotion to the second division. In the meantime he had left free transfer Middlesbrough and extended his original contract of loan with Sheffield on. During the 2006/07 season the midfielder completed his 100th league game in the meantime for the club and was by this time the player with the most club playing in the team. Due to his good performances he was elected at the end of the season, from the website Vital Football Sheffield for Player of the Year.

In August 2007, Brunt was then committed for 3 million British pounds from Premier League rivals West Bromwich Albion. At the end of the season he rose with his new club up to the Premier League. This was followed by the direct descent as Table 2009 and the immediate resurgence of 2010.

National

Chris Brunt's good performance at Sheffield Wednesday allowed him to jump into the Northern Ireland national football team. On 18 August 2004, he came in a friendly against Switzerland (0-0 ) for the first time to a 9 -minute use. After his first appointment, he completed two games for the U -21 team and a game for the U-23 team.
