Christopher Koskei

Christopher Koskei (also written Kosgei, loud pass to Christopher Cherono Kipkosgei; born August 14, 1974) is a former Kenyan obstacle and long distance runners.

1993 Koskei finished second in the 3,000-meter steeplechase at the African Championships. In 1995 he won a silver medal at the World Championships in Gothenburg. In 1999, he finally struck gold at the World Championships in Seville the gold medal, the only one for Kenya at these World Championships. Like some other Kenyans also denied Koskei the race often barefoot.

1999, a prize of one million U.S. dollars for those runners was exposed, which would win all seven races of the European Golden League in the same discipline. Tape recordings of British television brought to light that it came on 11 August to collusion between Koskei and his compatriot Bernard Barmasai, the former being lost on purpose to help Barmasai to winning.

2004 Koskei was the Athens marathon third parties.

Koskei is 1,70 m tall and weighed about 62 kg competition times.
