Chuck Schumer

Charles Ellis ( "Chuck" ) Schumer ( born November 23, 1950 in Brooklyn ) is an American politician of the Democratic Party and the older of the two service U.S. senators of the State of New York.

Training

Schumer was born in 1950 as the son of a Jewish family. His parents were Selma Rosen and Abraham Schumer. Schumer went to school in Brooklyn and graduated in 1967 at the James Madison High School. He then studied at Harvard College, where he became interested in politics, and went on to Harvard Law School.

Political career

According to the jurisprudence exam Schumer went professional in politics. 1974 Schumer was elected as the youngest deputy in the New York State Assembly, 1980 in the House of Representatives of the United States. Schumer since 1999, Senator for the state of New York.
