Cris (footballer)
Cristiano Marques Gomes named Cris ( born June 3, 1977 in Guarulhos ), is a Brazilian footballer.
Club career
The defender started his career in 1995 with Corinthians in São Paulo. With the Corinthians he won in his first season the Copa do Brasil in 1998 and the Brazilian Championship. He then moved to Belo Horizonte Cruzeiro, where he also was able to celebrate winning the Copa do Brasil ( 2000) and the Brazilian championship title ( 2003). From 2004 to 2012 Cris was at Olympique Lyon under contract. With the French club he won the 2005 championship and the Super Cup ( Trophée des Champions ).
After eight years in France the central defender joined on 3 September 2012 Galatasaray. After five Montaten the contract was terminated.
National
His debut in the A-National team gave Cris on 1 July 2001 against Uruguay. He won with the Brazilian selection in the Copa América in the summer of 2004 and participated in the 2006 World Cup.
