Curling at the 2014 Winter Olympics

The XXII. Two competitions 2014 Olympic Games were held in the curling, one for men and one for women. At both tournaments ten curling teams participated.

Qualification

For both tournaments, seven of the ten positions were awarded on the basis of a point system that takes into account the results of the World Championships in 2012 and 2013, a further two participants were identified during the course of a Qualification Tournament, where all participants in the World Cup tournaments were allowed to take 2011 to 2013. The two Russian Curling Team qualify automatically as hosts. Should also be noted that Scotland (*) participating as representatives of Great Britain in the Games.

The points system weighted the results of the last two world championships equally strong. Here, the champion received 14 points each, and the runners 12, third place 10, the fourth-placed 9, the five placed 8 to Zwölftplatzierten who got a point.
