Dammfleth

Dammfleth is a municipality in the district of Steinburg, in Schleswig- Holstein. The municipality consists of the villages of Klein Kampen, Landscheide and high field.

Geography and transport

Dammfleth is located on the main road 5, south of Wilster. The Kamp ride bettors flows through the community.

History

The church is first mentioned in 1164. The name of the village probably means Fleth the dam. In 1971, burned one of the landmarks of the community, a windmill down. It was never rebuilt. 1983 Dammfleth received the award model community for landscape maintenance.

Policy

Since the local elections of 2008, the voters Community KWV has all nine seats of the municipal council.
