Darroll Powe

Darroll Powe ( born June 22, 1985 in Kanata, Ontario ) is a Canadian professional ice hockey player who is since February 2013 at the New York Rangers in the National Hockey League contract.

Career

Powe began his career as a hockey player at the 2003 Princeton Tigers, the ice hockey team at Princeton University. For the Tigers, he played a total of four years in the ECAC Hockey before it in the professional sector to the Philadelphia Phantoms, the AHL farm team of the Philadelphia Flyers, moved towards the end of the 2006/07 season. There, the Center gained his first experience in professional hockey.

At the beginning of the NHL season 2008/ 09 Powe was first appointed by the Flyers in the NHL squad and gave the 6-3 victory over the New Jersey Devils make his debut in the National Hockey League.

On 27 June 2011, the Philadelphia Flyers gave him off in exchange for a third-round vote in the NHL Entry Draft in 2013 to the Minnesota Wild, where Powe 5 July 2011 signed a contract for three years. On February 4, 2013 Powe was given together with Nick Palmieri of the Minnesota Wild in exchange for Michael Rupp of the New York Rangers. After he was still playing until the end of the 2012/13 season 34 times for Rangers he could while preparing for the following season not prevail in the NHL squad and was released to the AHL farm team Hartford Wolf Pack.
