Daumants Dreiškens

Daumants Dreiskens ( born March 28, 1984 in Gulbene ) is a Latvian Bobsportler.

Career

He celebrated his first major success by winning the European Championship in four-man bobsleigh. Dreiskens was there one of the brakeman, the pilot was Jānis Minin. In the World Cup so far was each second place overall in the two-man and four-man bobs of, both in 2012/13, his best result. In the 2013/14 season he won his first two World Cup race in St. Moritz and Igls. In this World Cup, he was active as a pusher for Oscars Melbārdis.

Daumants Dreiskens competed at the 2014 Winter Olympics in both two - and four-man bobsleigh in as brakeman Oskars Melbārdis. In the two-man they were ranked number five in the four-man event they won silver. Also at the Games in 2006 and 2010 Games Dreiskens was at the start. In 2006, he was with Jānis Minin in bobsleigh sixth in four-man they were ranked number ten. In Vancouver 2010 was Dreiskens brakeman Edgars Maskalāns with which he occupied in the two- eighth. The four-man pilot with Jānis Minin was not at the start.
