Deetz is a district of the city of Zerbst / Anhalt in the district of Anhalt- Bitterfeld, in Saxony -Anhalt ( Germany ).

Geography
The village lies on the northern Nuthe Deetz, ten kilometers north-east of Zerbst, on the outskirts of the southwestern flaming. Deetz part of 2005 declared Natural Park flaming.
The lying at the eastern edge Deetzer Pond is a 57 acre, already in 1583 artificially dammed lake. 1840 confirmed the sovereign Duke Leopold IV, the ground lease of the fish pond and behind the dam water mill, which was later joined a sawmill. The Deetzer pond still supplies carp ( " fishing expedition " in the fall, in which the water is drained the pond ). The pond also serves the recreation, there is a swimming area and a boat rental.
History
1314 emerged the place as Detitz first time in a document. In 1618 there were in Deetz 14 full and 3/2 farmers and 14 Kossaten. The village Deetz came in 1798 by the division of the country in Anhalt- Zerbst Köthen and belonged to the "CO Lindau ", after the expiry of the Duke family 1847 Anhalt- Bernburg, 1863 at Anhalt- Dessau.
Until December 31, 2009 Deetz was an independent municipality. On an area of 15.71 km ² community lived 699 inhabitants ( 31 December 2008). On 1 January 2010, the annexation was to Zerbst / Anhalt.

The legally binding arms of Deetz is an undivided half round shield, in which the carp and between detected ears are arranged in so-called three -pass position. Transport links
From Deetz from lead road links via Dobritz according to Dessau, to Zerbst / Anhalt, to Lindau and after Nedlitz (on the B246 ).
