Denis Hollenstein

Denis Hollenstein (* October 15, 1989 in Zurich ) is a Swiss ice hockey player who plays for the Genève -Servette HC of the Swiss National League A since 2013. His father Felix Hollenstein was also a professional hockey player.

Career

Denis Hollenstein began his career as a hockey player with the Kloten Flyers in the youth department, he was active until 2007. The 2006/07 season he finished, however, the EHC Bülach from the first third-rate league. Then the attacker moved for two years to the Guelph Storm in the Canadian Junior Football League Ontario Hockey League, for whom he scored 39 points scorer in a total of 104 games. For the 2009/10 season he returned to the Kloten Flyers, where he received a professional contract. In November 2012 Hollenstein signed a four year contract with the Genève -Servette HC, which shall apply from the 2013/14 season.

Internationally

For Switzerland Hollenstein took part in the U18 World Youth Championship 2007 and the Under-20 World Youth Championship 2008.

At the World Championship 2012 he was the first time the senior team on to a major international tournament. The following year he won with the senior team the silver medal at the World Championships in 2013 and was with Scorer 8 points in 10 games one of the top performers of the team.
