Deryck Whibley

Deryck Whibley Jayson ( born March 21, 1980 in Toronto ), also known as Bizzy D is a Canadian guitarist, singer, drummer, pianist and songwriter of the band Sum 41

Whibley and Steve Jocz decided in 1996, 41 days after the beginning of summer to form the band Sum 41. Later still Dave Baksh ( who has since left the band ) and Jason McCaslin came to. In 2005 and 2006 he played guitar and sang backing vocals on the albums Tommy Country: The Ride by Tommy Lee and A Million in Prizes: The Anthology by Iggy Pop.

Since 15 July 2006 Whibley was married to singer Avril Lavigne, whose album The Best Damn Thing, he co-produced. Together they lived in Bel Air, Los Angeles. In September 2009, both officially confirmed the separation. They were divorced on November 16, 2010. According to both the separation was by mutual agreement and yet they feel the deepest connection to each other. On Thursday, 4 August 2010, Deryck was attacked by three unknown persons and had to be hospitalized. Against the advice of doctors, he played a few days later at the Summer Sonic Festival in Japan. Just a few days before the accident, he had to contend with an acute bronchitis and had to cancel two concerts of the Vans Warped Tour.

Whibley collects guitars and has, among other things, its own signature model Telecaster Squier, which is also freely available.
