Drahomír Kadlec

Drahomír Kadlec ( born November 29, 1965 in Pribram, Czechoslovakia ) is a former Czech ice hockey player.

Career

Drahomír Kadlec began his career as a hockey player with TJ Poldi Kladno SONP, for the seniors team he made his debut in the first ČNHL, the Czech squadron of the second Czechoslovak league was in the 1984/85 season. With his team, he immediately achieved promotion to the 1st League. After a year of Kladno in the highest Czechoslovak league he had to serve his military service and therefore played from 1986 to 1988 for the Army Sports Club Dukla Jihlava ASD. He then returned for another two years to Kladno. From 1990 to 1993, the counsel for HIFK Helsinki stood in the Finnish SM- liiga on the ice. The 1993/94 season he began in his parent club from Kladno, after Czechoslovakia split inaugural Czech Extraliga, but left the club after just eleven games to play for the ESV Kaufbeuren in the hockey league. At the time the 1994/95 season with the German Ice Hockey League introduced a new top division in Germany, the two -time Olympian was another two and a half years at Bayern, before he ended the 1996/97 season at HC Zlín in the Czech Extraliga.

From 1997 to 1999, Kadlec ever played one season long for the Extraliga HC Litvinov and HC participants Slezan Opava. For the season 1999/2000 he received a contract with Tappara Tampere of the SM - liiga, but the Finns left after only five point - and penalty-free games and spent the next four years at EC Bad Tolz in the 2nd Hockey League. Finally, the Czech from 2003 to 2006 occurred for the HC Neumarkt in the Italian Serie A1 or A2 series, before he ended his career at the age of 40 years.

Internationally

For Czechoslovakia Kadlec took part in the World Championships 1987, 1989, 1990 and 1992. In addition, he was in 1987 in the squad Czechoslovakia at Canada Cup and 1992 Winter Olympic Games in Albertville. For all its four World Cup participations for Czechoslovakia he won with his team as well as the bronze medal at the Olympic Winter Games 1992.

For the Czech Republic, he took part in the World Championships in 1993, 1994 and 1996. He also represented his country at the 1994 Winter Olympics in Lillehammer and the 1996 World Cup of Hockey. In the 1993 World Cup, he won the bronze at the 1996 World Championships gold medal with the Czech Republic.
