Dreisen

Dreisen is a municipality in the Thunder Mountain district in Rhineland- Palatinate. It belongs to the municipality Göllheim. Dreisen is a nationally recognized tourist.

Geography

Dreisen lies southeast of Mount Thunder on the Pfrimm, north of the Palatinate Forest, between Kaiserslautern and Worms.

To Dreisen includes the residential places Dreisen station, Bannholz, Hollidahof, In thalweg, in the fields cap, hole mill Lohmühle and Muensterhof.

History

Dreisen 960 is first mentioned in documents and was located at that time in possession of the nearby monastery Münsterdreisen. 1376 came Dreisen as part of the Office of the Palatinate, and thus fell Bolanden 1706 Nassau -Weilburg.

Economy and infrastructure

Through the municipal area run the former Federal Highway 40 from Kaiserslautern to Alzey, as well as the B 47 by Eisenberg (Pfalz ) leads to Worms. Dreisen located in the immediate vicinity of the junction Göllheim at the Federal Highway 63 connects with the Mainz Kaiserslautern.
