Niederhausen an der Appel
Lower Hausen an der Appel is a municipality in the Thunder Mountain district in Rhineland- Palatinate. It belongs to the municipality Alsenz - Obermoschel, which has its headquarters in the town of Alsenz.
Geographical location
Niedernhausen is located in Appelbachtal north of the Palatinate Forest. To the north is deep valley in the south and west is Münsterappel Winterborn. The nearest towns are Bad Kreuznach, Rockhausen and Kaiserslautern.
The municipality also includes the living space Freyhof.
History
The town was first mentioned in 1325 as Niderhusen documented.
Parish council
The local council in Niedernhausen consists of six council members, who were elected at the municipal election held on 7 June 2009 by majority vote, and the honorary mayor as chairman location.
Coat of arms
Blazon: Shared by gold and blue. Above, a growing red lion, blue gezungt, blue reinforced and blue crowned; below a silver, red gave church with two red roofed and besteckten with golden crosses towers.

Economy and infrastructure
In the resort, the L 400 and L 403 crossing over the A63 to the east and the A61 in north-east is connected to the long-distance transport. Nearest train stop is the Alsenz station on the Alsenztalbahn.
