Edgars Lūsiņš

Edgars Lūsiņš ( born December 25, 1984 in Riga, Latvian SSR) is a Latvian professional ice hockey goaltender who is since December 2011 the Hannover Indians in the 2nd Bundesliga under contract.

Career

Edgars Lūsiņš began his career as a hockey player with the Stalkers Juniors Daugavpils, for whom he made ​​his debut in the Latvian Hockey League in the 2000 /01 season. He then played two and a half years for the lower division North American junior teams Indianapolis Park Tudor Prep, Dayton Gems and Traverse City Enforcers, before he returned to Latvia during the 2003/04 season. There he played until 2005 for the HK Zemgale. Then was the goalkeeper in the next four years for the ASK Ogre, HK Riga 2000 and HK Ozolnieki / Monarhs in the Latvian Hockey League between the posts. With the Riga 2000 HK he participated in the 2008/ 09 season also participate in the Belarusian Extraliga.

For the 2009/10 season Lūsiņš received a contract with the REV Bremerhaven from the 2nd Bundesliga.
