Eduard Herbst

Eduard Herbst ( born December 9, 1820 Vienna, † June 25, 1892 ) was an Austrian jurist and politician.

Autumn 1847 received a professorship at the University of Lviv and moved in 1858 to the Charles University in Prague. In 1861 he became a member of the Czech parliament and of the Austrian Imperial Council, where he distinguished himself as the spokesman of the German representatives. December 30, 1867 to April 12, 1870 to the autumn was in the "Citizens Ministry " kk Minister of Justice.

His grave is located in Vienna's Central Cemetery (Group 14 A, number 22). In 1883 in Vienna Ottakring ( 16th district ) was named the autumn street after him.
