Eduardo Nevares

Eduardo Alanis Nevares ( born February 19, 1954 in San Antonio) is Auxiliary Bishop of Phoenix.

Life

Eduardo Alanis Nevares joined the Congregation of the Missionaries at Our Lady of La Salette and put the profession on July 4, 1977. The Bishop of Beaumont, Bernard James Ganter, ordained him a priest on July 18, 1981. He left the order and was incardinated on 27 May 2007 in the Diocese of Tyler.

Pope Benedict XVI. appointed him on 11 May 2010 as Auxiliary Bishop in Phoenix and Titular Bishop of Natchesium. The bishop of Phoenix, Thomas James Olmsted, donated to him on 19 July of the same year the episcopal ordination; Michael Jarboe Sheehan were co-consecrators, Archbishop of Santa Fe, and Alvaro Corrada del Rio SJ, Bishop of Tyler.
