Elena Gheorghe

Elena Gheorghe (born 30 July 1985 in Bucharest ) is a Romanian pop singer.

Gheorghe was 2002-2005 Latin singer of the pop band Mandinga with which they released two albums. 2006 she released her first solo album, and from there various Popsingles that went into the Romanian charts. As the winner of Romania's preliminary decision in 2009 she was allowed to compete for Romania at the Euro Vision Song Contest 2009 in Moscow. With the song The Balkan Girls, however, they could only reach number 19.
