Geography

Dirt road is about 10 km north-west of Dachau, about 15 km southeast of Aichach and about 6 km north of the motorway 8 ( connection points Odelzhausen or Sulzemoos ). In Erdweg Steindlbach, forest stream and Zeitlbach discharge into the River Glonn.

Formation of the community

The municipality gravel road was re-formed 1 July 1972 from the communities Eisenhofen, United Berghofen, sub Weikert Mayrhofen and Welshofen and originating from the Aichach community Kleinberghofen the district of Dachau belonging.

Coat of arms

The community Erdweg took over in 1972, the 1956, the town of Gross Berghofen granted coat of arms: Azure, on a golden zigzag bar the silver Romanesque basilica Petersberg in choir view.

Culture and sights

  • Tavern on the dirt track: handsome Satteldachbau Dovetail battlements, 16th and 19th centuries; The inn is currently being redeveloped.
  • Hutter Museum United Berghofen
  • Parish Centre St. Paul: The community center with room for worship was erected in 1973 at the founding of the parish association dirt road.

Traffic

In dirt track there is a breakpoint on the line A on the railway line Dachau Altomuenster. The nearest motorway junction is located in Sulzemoos on the A 8
