Geography

Four churches located in the Munich region, 40 km north of Munich.

The municipality is divided into the following four churches districts:

History

The boundaries of the parish Four churches have been established around the year 779 under Bishop Aribo. Four churches belonged to Rentamt Munich and the Dachau court of the Electorate of Bavaria. Created in 1818 the current municipality. As part of local government reform, the incorporation of the neighboring communities Pasenbach (partly) on 1 January 1972 and Giebing on July 1, 1972. Beaver Brook came on 1 May 1978 Röhrmoos whose former districts Milbertshofen and Wieden yards to four churches. The administrative community founded in 1978 with Weichs was dissolved again in 1980.

Religions

The parish church of St. Jakob parish church is a building of four 1763 /65 after the old Gothic church was in 1759 collapsed due to disrepair. The parish church in Giebing is one of the few Art Nouveau churches in southern Bavaria. The parish hall of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in four churches was built in 1978.

Population Development

The population figures of 1961 and 1970 also include the inhabitants of the exchanged after four churches part of the dissolved municipality beaver creek.

Naturbad

Since 2003, the natural pool exists in four churches (2000 m²). This was created by the conversion of the former settling basin of the decommissioned plant. The peculiarity of this bath is that the water in another basin - is naturally cleaned without the use of chemicals - the regeneration Pond (1500 m²). Here the impurities without chemical additives will be converted into mineral salts in a biological self-cleaning process. Numerous aquatic plants in the regeneration pond as reeds and water lilies, make use of these salts thus obtained as nutrients. Thus, a consistently good water quality are guaranteed.

Economy, agriculture and forestry

It was in 1998 according to official statistics in the field of Agriculture and Forestry 5, 236 in manufacturing and in trade and transport 81 persons work at the workplace. In other areas, were employed to social security at the workplace 234 people. Social insurance contributions at residence, there were a total of 1314. In manufacturing, there was an operation in the construction of ten companies. In addition, in 1999, there were 50 farms with an agricultural area of 1766 ha, of which 1544 ha of arable land.

Traffic

The high-speed line Nuremberg -Ingolstadt- Munich runs through the municipality. The station four churches - Esterhofen is connected to the S -Bahn network of Munich. A direct highway connection does not exist, the community four churches can be reached via the A92 exits, other jurisdictions / Haimhausen, A8, Dachau / Fürstenfeldbruck, and A99, exit München -Ludwig Field.

Established businesses

In the district Pasenbach is the headquarters of the shoe manufacturer Hanwag.

Since 2006, the Andritz KMPT GmbH, one belonging to Andritz AG Manufacturer of centrifuges for solid-liquid separation, based in four churches. The company had dissolved in 2001 by the then parent company Krauss -Maffei.
