Essunga Municipality

Essunga is a municipality (Swedish kommun ) in the Swedish province of Västra Götaland County and the historic province of Västergötland. The main town of the municipality is Nossebro.

History

1952, the greater community Essunga from some parishes ( socks ) was formed around. Subsequently, the area was incorporated into the municipality of Vara 1974. Barely ten years later, the community was in 1983 spun off into their old borders and independent again. For main town Nossebro was determined, which was already 1918-1963 center of a rural community.
