Estakhri

Abu Ishaq Ibrahim ibn Muhammad al- Istachri (Arabic الإصطخري, DMG al - Istahri; † ca 951 ) was one of the most important Persian- Islamic geographers and cartographers of the 10th century. He was a member of the Balchi School in Baghdad and wrote in imitation of his teacher Abu Zaid al - Balchi († 934 ), the "Book of Ways and Provinces" ( Kitab al - Masalik wa-l - mamalik ).
