Eugen Wratislaw von Mitrowitz

Eugen Graf Wratislaw of Mitrowitz - Nettolitzky ( born July 8, 1786 in Wischopol [ Vlčí Pole ], Bohemia, † February 14, 1867 in Vienna ) was an old Austrian general.

Life

In 1804 he joined the army. After participating in the campaigns of 1805-09 and 1813-16 was Wratislaw of Mitrowitz 1816 Lieutenant Colonel and commander of the 4th Uhlan Regiment. In 1820 he was promoted to colonel in 1830 and to major general. In 1835 he was appointed to the Court War Council and promoted to Lieutenant-General and 2nd owner of the first cuirassiers. In 1840 he was Adjutant of the Emperor Ferdinand and privy councilor, 1847 Knight of the Order of the Golden Fleece in 1848 commander of the 1st Army Corps in Italy, 1849 general of the cavalry, in 1854 field marshal and captain of the Arcieren bodyguard and hereditary Imperial Council. In 1855 he became Chancellor of the Military Maria Theresa Order.
