European Cross Country Championships

The European Cross Country Championships since 1994 discharged athletics competitions, which are aligned in December annually since 1994 by the European Athletic Association (EAA ), the European champions are determined in the cross-country running.

The World Championships were first of two races, one each for men and women. 1997 competitions for junior men and junior women were included in the program, in 2006 the U23 men and women were added.

The Ukrainian Serhiy Lebid is not only with nine wins so far the most successful starter, he is also with 19 participations 1994-2012 the athlete with the most starts.
