Faouzi Chaouchi

Faouzi Chaouchi (Arabic فوزي شاوشي, DMG Fauzi Šāwušī; born December 5, 1984 in Bordj Menaïel ) is an Algerian football goalkeeper who is currently Unemployed.

Career

JS Bordj Ménaïel

Faouzi Chaouchi began his career in 2003 at unterklassigen club JS Bordj Ménaïel, where his father played as a goalkeeper. In the season 2005/2006 he was captain and aroused by only seven goals in 32 matches the interest of larger clubs.

JS Kabylie

In 2006 he signed a three year contract with the top club JS Kabylie, in his own words was with the change a " childhood dream come true ." Height of his three-year commitment in 2008 was winning the Algerian Cup. Chaouchi, who was nicknamed canary from the fans in the CAF Champions League scored a goal from the penalty spot against Coton Sport Garoua.

After several of discipline since the takeover of the root square of Lounès Gaouaoui, he left the club in 2009 and switched to ES Sétif.

ES Sétif

In June 2009 he signed the contract. The ES Sétif took him because of his outstanding achievements, which he placed at JS Kabylie proof.

In December 2009, he took his team to the North African Cup of Champions, after being defeated Espérance Tunis on penalties. Chaouchi was voted the best goalkeeper of the tournament. On 1 May 2010 he also won the Algerian Cup in a 3-0 win against CA Batna in the final. This was the first Cup victory since twenty years, a total they won the Cup for the seventh time. The Algerian President Abdelaziz Bouteflika gave the cup and the medals to win.

In 2009, several European teams expressed interest in Chaouchi, such as Olympique Marseille. A few days after the Cup victory, he was asked in an interview if there were offers from European clubs. He confirmed that his agents have gotten the message that Olympique Marseille will send a scout to the match against Ireland on May 28. He also confirmed that he stand in contact with UC Le Mans and have also received an offer from an Arab club. However, he had no interest in this, but would like to, if ever, go to Europe.

MC Alger

On July 19, 2011 Chaouchi moved to MC Alger and signed there an annual contract. After he was expelled in his fifth league game against JSM Béjaïa with a red card of the field, Chaouchi scored in the 2-0 home win against MC El Eulma a penalty scored his first goal ever. On 1 May 2013, won with his team the Algerian Cup final against city rivals USM Alger 0-1. As a result, the players of the club refused to attend the ceremony and there were clashes in the first half. As one of the Hauptaggressoren identified Chaouchi was sentenced on May 8, 2013, a period of two years. The day after his contract was terminated with the MC Algiers.

National

On 4 February 2008 he was invited to the training camp of the national team in France due to its good performance in JS Kabylie of national coach Rabah Saâdane. On 26 March 2008, he completed his international debut in a friendly against DR Congo when he came on in the second half for Lounès Gaouaoui.

On 18 November 2009 he played in the crucial World Cup qualifier for the FIFA World Cup 2010 against the rival Egypt from the beginning, there choice goalkeeper Gaouaoui was locked. By the 1-0 winning goal Anthar Yahia, the Algerian National Team qualified for the first time since 1986 for the World Cup finals.

In December 2009 Chaouchi was appointed to the squad for the African Cup of 2010 in Angola. Although he was actually only number two, it was due to the good performance against Egypt and the failure of Lounès Gaouaoui by appendicitis number one at the Africa Cup. In the 0-4 defeat in the semi-final against Egypt, he saw in the 87th minute, the yellow- red card. This was the third red card for Algeria in this game, after previously Rafik Halliche ( 38 minutes ) and Nadir Belhadj ( 70 ) were dismissed. Though sent off with yellow- red, he received a lock of three games, as he had the referee missed a headbutt in the previous game. After a first appeal was unsuccessful, he would have been suspended for the first two World Cup matches against England and Slovenia, but was nevertheless appointed to the Algerian World Cup squad. Shortly before World Cup beginning the lock was finally lifted after the lock Chaouchi had already served in two games to qualify for the African Nations Cup 2011. So he could in the first group match of Algeria are at the World Cup against Slovenia in goal. Due to an error at the decisive goal to 0:1 he was involved in the defeat of his team. In the next match against England, he was replaced by Raïs M'Bolhi, who is also in the final group game against the USA in goal after a strong performance. After leaving this tournament Chaouchi was no further international duty.
