History

Scolar Resita CSM was founded in 1926 as UDR Resita and celebrated in 1931 his greatest success, winning the Romanian football championship. The following year, UDR was runner-up behind Venus Bucharest. After the Second World War, the club initially identified by Metalochimic in Resita (1948) and in Metalul Resita (1949 ). In 1954 the Romanian Cup was won in the final against Dinamo Bucharest. 1956, the club changed its name to Resita Energia from 1975 to 1982, he was called FCM Resita ( Fotbal Club Muncitoresc ), before he changed his name in CSM Resita. In the summer of 2005, the third division to the satellite team Universitatea Craiova. In return Tricotaje Inew was bought the right to start in Divizia B for 80,000 euros, so that in the 2005/06 season with FCM Resita a new club that, by the local authorities, which was Universitatea Eftimie Murgu and a businessman from the region financed could begin. Since 2009, the club takes the name Scolar Resita CSM.
