Federico O. Escaler

Federico O. Escaler SJ ( born June 28, 1922 in Manila ) is a retired prelate of Ipil.

Life

Federico O. Escaler joined the Congregation of the Jesuits and received on 19 June 1954, the ordination.

Pope Paul VI. appointed him on 12 June 1976 for the prelates of Kidapawan and Titular Bishop of Girus Tarasii. The Archbishop of Manila, Jaime Lachica Cardinal Sin, consecrated him on 6 September that year the bishop; Co-consecrators were Patrick H. Cronin SSCME, Archbishop of Cagayan de Oro, and Gerard Mongeau, OMI, Bishop of Cotabato.

He resigned as Titular Bishop of Girus Tarasii on 18 February 1978. Pope John Paul II appointed him on 23 February 1980, on the prelates of Ipil. On June 28, 1997 John Paul II accepted his resignation age-related.
