Fedor Tyutin

Fyodor Anatoljevich Tjutin (Russian Фёдор Анатольевич Тютин; born July 19 1983 in Izhevsk, Russian SFSR ) is a Russian ice hockey player who is currently with the Columbus Blue Jackets of the National Hockey League contract.

Career

The 1.88 m tall defender played for SKA Saint Petersburg when he selected at the NHL Entry Draft in 2001 as 40th in the second round by the Rangers ( drafted ) was. In his youth he had been standing for Metallurg Novokuznetsk and Ischstal Izhevsk on the ice.

In 2001, the Left shooter to North America, where he played for the Guelph Storm in the Canadian top junior league OHL. After a year with the Storm Tjutin returned to Russia, where he ran aground again for St. Petersburg in the Super League. He also ran on the league in the AHL All- Star Classic in 2004 as one of the best players.

During the lockout in the 2004/05 season Tjutin returned once to his former club to Saint Petersburg, in 35 Super League games, the defender scored five goals and three assists. After the end of the season to Tjutin the NY Rangers joined again, where he signed a four-year contract valued at 11.375 million U.S. dollars in February 2008. After the season, the Russian was, however, given to the league rivals Columbus Blue Jackets.

Internationally

With the Russian national Fyodor Tjutin won at the World Ice Hockey Championship 2008, Gold Medal, he also played with the Junior U18 World Cup 2001 and the U-20 World Championships in 2002 and 2003, in which he could be each U20 World Champion with the " Sbornaja ".

In 2010 he was nominated to the squad for the Olympic Winter Games in Vancouver, where he retired with the national team in the quarterfinals.
