Feldkirchen an der Donau

Feldkirchen an der Donau is a market town in Upper Austria in the district of Urfahr in the upper Upper Austria with 5203 inhabitants (as of 1 January 2013). The municipality is located in the judicial district Urfahr.

As a recreational area the Feldkirchner Lakes to the public are available.

Area distribution

History

Originally in the eastern part of the Duchy of Bavaria lying, was the place since the 12th century the Duchy of Austria. Since 1490 he is the Principality ' Austria above the Enns ' attributed. During the Napoleonic wars the place was occupied several times since then again in Upper Austria.
