Puchenau

Puchenau is a municipality in Upper Austria in the district of Urfahr in the upper Upper Austria with 4471 inhabitants (as of 1 January 2013 ) west of Linz. The municipality is located in the judicial district Urfahr.

Puchenau situated at an altitude of 262 m above sea level. Blazon: In gold on a blue wave bar in the sign one red and two green, one to two Asked Book with spherical crowns and black trunks. The municipality colors are yellow and red. These symbolize the arranged in a triangle Book the approximately triangular shape of the community. The wave bar symbolizes the southern boundary of the municipality, the Danube. History

Economy

Traffic

Puchenau is located just off the B127 Rohrbacherstraße. Thus there is good public transport links to the city of Linz. This road divides the municipality in half. Also, this is the feed line for the upper Upper Austria, which manifests itself on working days through miles of traffic jams in the morning in the direction of Linz and in the evening back felt.

At the traffic census in April 2007, approximately 21,500 vehicles per day at the west entrance Puchenaus were counted. Of these, around 1,300 trucks and other heavy vehicles.
