Rio Fluvia in Olot

The 91 km long Fluvia is a river in northern Catalonia (Spain).

Course

The River Fluvia rises in the mountains of Collsacabra ( Falgars d' en Bas ) in Olot; then it flows through the cities of Olot, Castellfollit, Besalu, Esponellà and Torroela de Fluvia and empties into the Gulf of Roses (Mediterranean) in the amount of the natural park Empordà Marshes and near the village of Sant Pere Pescador. It flows through the comarques Garrotxa and Alt Empordà. There was the ancient city of Empúries At the former estuary. The main tributaries are the server, the Gurn, the Llerca and Oix.
