Frauenkappelen is a municipality in the Bern-Mittelland administrative district in the canton of Bern in Switzerland.
History
The first documentary mention of the place in 1158 is related to the former convent Frauenkappelen. After the monastery was abolished in 1485 the village was raised not later than in 1610 to a parish.
Policy
The voter shares of the parties at the national elections of 2011 were: SVP 30.0%, 22.7 % BDP, SP 14.1 %, 10.3 % GPS, FDP 8.4 %, 5.4 % glp, CVP 2.0 %, 1.7 % EDU EPP 1.2 %.
Economy
