Frederic Cloutier

Frédéric Cloutier (born 14 May 1981 in St- Honoré, Quebec ) is a Canadian professional ice hockey goaltender who stands since November 2013 in the Bietigheim Steelers DEL2 under contract. His uncle Norm Gratton was also active as a professional hockey player, where he played in the 1970 Jahreb among others in the National Hockey League; just as his brother Gilles Gratton, who also managed as a goalkeeper in the NHL.

Career

Cloutier began his career in the Canadian Ligue de hockey junior majeur du Québec, before 2001 the leap into professional hockey managed and moved to the ECHL. First peak it reached in the 2001/02 season in which he won several awards in the league and show excellent performance. He also spent the following years in the North American minor leagues and moved here several times the team, said he was never drafted and also completed a single game in the NHL.

With the 2007/ 08 season Cloutier moved first to Europe and served for four years as the first goalkeeper of the Italian first division Ritten Sport, with which he began his three times to the finals, but never managed to win the title, although the leaders in the goalkeeper score it to each year was found. 2010 Cloutier was drafted into the Canadian national team with which he then ran aground the first goalie in the Spengler Cup. After a short stay in Canada took him in the course of the 2011/12 season, the Austrian Graz 99ers under contract, where he took over the role as the first goalkeeper Fabian Weinhandl. For the 2013/14 season the Canadians signed a contract for two months at the Star Bulls Rosenheim DEL2, where he replaced the injured Pasi Häkkinen. After his recovery, he moved to league rivals Bietigheim Steelers.
