Frédéric Makowiecki

Frédéric Makowiecki ( born November 22, 1980 in Arras ) is a French racing driver. He drives since 2010 in the FIA ​​GT1 World Championship and 2012 also occurs in the FIA ​​World Endurance Championship ( WEC).

Career

After Makowiecki began his motorsport career in karting, he moved in 2000, first in the Formula racing and finished fourth in the B -Class from the French Formula 3 Championship. After he had taken part in any race series two years, he returned in 2003 back into motorsport and was 32 ​​in the French GT Championship and finished ninth in the French Porsche Carrera Cup. While he competed in 2004 only in the French Porsche Carrera Cup and the championship ended in third place, in 2005 he moved only in the French GT Championship at the start and was sixth.

2006 Makowiecki was behind Anthony Beltoise runner-up in the French Porsche Carrera Cup. He also began this season in the FIA ​​GT3 European Championship and finished at the end of the season 21 overall. In addition, he made his debut in the FIA ​​GT Championship and joined on to a race. 2007 occupied Makowiecki, this time behind Patrick Pilet, again finished second overall in the French Porsche Carrera Cup. He also finished fifth in the French GT Championship and tenth in the FIA ​​GT3 European Championship. In 2008, he ended the French Porsche Carrera Cup at the fourth overall and repeated the tenth place in the FIA ​​GT3 European Championship. He also finished eighth in the French GT Championship and started again at a race in the FIA ​​GT Championship. In addition, he made his debut in the Le Mans Series, in which he finished sixth in the standings LMGT1, and at the ADAC GT Masters, where he won a race as a guest.

2009 Makowiecki won three races of the French Porsche Carrera Cup and finished third in this series. In the FIA ​​GT3 European Championship, he scored his hitherto best overall placement with the fourth overall. He was also 19th in the GT2 standings of the FIA ​​GT Championship and 31 of the International GT Open. Makowiecki 2010 entered for Hexis AMR Aston Martin DBR9 in the new FIA GT1 World Championship. With changing teammates, he twice won the qualification and once the championship race. In the drivers' world championship he finished third. In addition, he succeeded in this season's championship title in the French Porsche Carrera Cup win. In the FIA ​​GT3 European Championship, he finished fifth in the French GT Championship twelfth and in the International GT Open 26, 2011 remained Makowiecki in the FIA ​​GT1 World Championship.
