Galeran V de Beaumont, Comte of Meulant

Waleran de Beaumont ( † about 1191 Acre ) was Count of Meulan, as such, he was also named Waleran de Meulan V..

He was the eldest son of Robert II de Beaumont and Matilda of Cornwall.

As early as 1183 his father took him to the government of the county of Meulan. He married Margerethe of Fougères. The marriage remained childless.

He participated as a vassal of the English king Richard the Lionheart in the Third Crusade, on which he died during the siege of Acre.

Even his brothers died before his father. Therefore, the county Meulan fell after his death in 1207 to the French crown.
