Germany women's national under-20 football team

The German national football team U -20 Women represented Germany in international women's football. The national team is the DFB assumed and is coached by former national player Maren Meinert. The U-20 national team only contributes from internationals, when the U-19 national team qualified for the U-19 European Championship for U- 20 World Cup. The biggest success of the team was the first place in the U -20 World Cup 2010 in Germany, for which she was awarded on 15 October 2010 as a junior athletes Team of the Year.

As was "U -20" created an official competition for the female age group by FIFA nor UEFA until 2006, was in the 90s the Nordic Cup as the most important date for this selection teams to compete the strongest European organizations - including the American Association - to determine a winner. The Nordic Cup was thus considered the unofficial European Championship. From 1990 to 1997 the tournament's female U-20 age group was reserved.
