Properties
Gold (V ) fluoride is a red diamagnetic solid which decomposes at 200 ° C in gold ( III ) fluoride and fluorine. Its single crystals are constructed dimer. In the gas phase, its structure is dimeric and trimeric. Gold (V ) fluoride is a strong Lewis acid.
