Greatest Hits (Nas album)

The Best of Nas is a Japanese import of Nas greatest hits from the period 1994 to 1999. There are songs from his first four albums Illmatic, It Was Written, I Am ... and Nastradamus included, as well as some B-sides like " Life's A Bitch (Arsenal mix) ".

The first eight tracks are all from the year 1994. The remixes to come, all of that time and were mixed a few months after the release of Illmatic by Q-Tip and Large Professor, as the regular album versions were not sent in their original form on TV.

On the " One Love (LG Main Remix) " and "Life 's A Bitch (Arsenal Mix) " Nas wanted to help the two Queensbridge residents Def Jef and Ken Staton in her musical career and had to produce the remix and Ken Staton sing a hook.

The remaining ten tracks have all remained in its basic version. It lacks many of the most important songs such as "NY State of Mind" and "Memory Lane " because it simply was no more space on the CD.
