Gymnastics at the 2012 Summer Olympics – Women's uneven bars

The finals on uneven bars the women at the Olympic Games 2012 in London was held on 6 August 2012 at The O ₂. A total of eight gymnasts competed.

In the qualifying competition on 29 July 2012, eight gymnasts have qualified for the finals. The regulations stipulated that only two gymnasts per NOC could compete in the final. A third qualifier was not allowed to compete and was replaced by the gymnast who had cut off as the next best. How could the Chinese Huang Qiushuang, in qualifying in 7th place, not compete because their countrywomen He Kexin and Yao Jinnan were already qualified. For the Chinese in the final launched the Japanese Koko Tsurumi.

The rating of an exercise consisted of difficulty (D -score) and the execution (E -score), which were added to the total score and subtracted from the possible penalty points. If two gymnasts have the same total score, the higher rating is the execution of the rash.

Final result

Beth Tweddle took the first Olympic medal on the uneven bars for the UK.
