Hamdara

Hamdara is a rural municipality in the Department Mirriah in Niger.
Geography
Hamdara lies in the Sahel. The neighboring municipalities are Zermou the northwest, Guidimouni in the northeast, Wacha in the south and Mirriah in the West. The municipality is divided into 27 administrative villages, 37 traditional villages, 63 hamlets and two camps. The main town of the rural community is the administrative village Hamdara (also: Hamdara Laouali ).
The Forêt de classée Kissambana is a 1880 acre protected nature woodland area in the municipality of Hamdara. The protected status was 1950.
History
The rural community Hamdara 2002 went out as part of a nationwide administrative reform from the Canton Kissambana / Hamdara.
Population
At the 2001 census Hamdara had 22 824 inhabitants. For the year 2010 30.992 inhabitants were calculated.
Economy and infrastructure
The municipality is located in a zone is operated in the rain-fed agriculture. By Hamdara the National Road 1, which connects the village with the neighboring communities Mirriah and Guidimouni runs.
