Hangul Jamo (Unicode block)

The Unicode block Hangul Jamo (English Hangul Jamo, U 1100 to U 11 FF ) contains the Jamo mentioned letters that make up the Hangul Korean alphabet is called. In South Korea, are rare except Hangul Hanja also uses called Chinese characters.

Each letter has its own name, with Jongseong the consonantal syllable, Jungseong the vocalic syllable peaks and Choseong referred to again consonantal Silbenauslaut. Within each of these three positions exist appropriate Unicode numbers for each possible combination of consonants and vowels. The Jongseong and Choseong see with the same sounds from identical, but are positioned differently in the syllable square.

Computer systems that are to write with these characters the Korean language, must have an algorithm that assembles the individual phonetic symbols correctly to a syllable square. Alternatively, there is the Unicode block Hangul syllable characters, in which all possible combinations of Jamo are already assembled ready.
