Hassan Younes

Hassan Ahmed Younis (Arabic: حسن أحمد يونس, DMG Ḥasan Aḥmad Yūnis; born February 21, 1943 in al - Mansura ) is an Egyptian politician.

Life

Hassan Ahmed Younis since 1962 Bachelor of Science, Master of Science since 1965 and in 1985 a doctorate in the field of combustion engines at the Ain Shams University in Cairo doctorate.

From 1969 to 1972 he was employed as a system administrator, from 1972 to 1975 he was employed as a programmer. From 1975 to 1978 he directed the construction and operation of thermal power plants in Egypt. And from 1979 to 1982, he represented schleíeßlich the Egyptian Electricity Authority in the United States of America, the National Commissions Egypt Energy Control Center took over their tasks in the sequence.

From 1983 to 1988 he was managing director of the Egyptian electricity supply, and from 1988 to 1992 he was Chief of Staff of the Egyptian energy sector regulator.

From March to November 2001, he was Chairman of the Electricity Holding Company for which the operative part of the Egyptian electricity company was privatized. He worked at the university level and at numerous conferences on energy policy in the Mediterranean.

On November 22, 2001, he was appointed by President Hosni Mubarak 's cabinet Abaid as Minister of Electric Power; an office which he held also in the cabinets Nazif and Shafik Sharaf and held up to the detachment of the Second Cabinet el- Ganzuri by its successor government.

He is married and has three sons.
